Inspiration: Thanksgiving Baking Ideas

Thanksgiving is always an exciting time for baking aficionados.  I always try to do something different and something traditional every year.  This year, the theme for me is pie!  My traditional is a fruit pie and my something different are whoopie pies. What are you baking?

If you're struggling for ideas, here are some suggestions:


Someone called this a "Buche de Thanksgiving"... I heartily agree!  You get the traditional pumpkin flavor 'rewrapped' in the Pumpkin Cake Roll.

I plan on doing pumpkin and red velvet whoopie pies since we will be watching the Texas A&M Aggies vs. Texas Longhorns game.  Hook 'em Horns!

This may be new to your Thanksgiving, but it's been a traditional in our family for almost ten years now.  You can't go wrong with Pumpkin Cheesecake!
